Ob es mit einem TID auch Funktioniert, bezweifel ich.
wenn jemand mit nem TID Zeit und lust hat, kann er es ja mal ausprobieren. Könnte es wenn, dann erst nächste Woche mal irgendwann testen.

    Hi, Jonas

My Corsa's display is a TID.
After I read your post, I wondered if it's possible and went to my private Opel garage. We connected the Tech2 and followed the steps you wrote in your previous post.

The first four steps were OK, but when we selected the "Progr. Varianten Konfiguration" option, a screen with only two options displayed.

First option was the country code, and the second option was EHU (Entertainment Headphone Unit, I guess).

You wrote "Punkt 9". Does that mean there should be 9 or more options on that screen ?

Anyway, there wasn't anything like "Check Control" in the screen.

I guess my car doesn't have the Check Control system or it doesn't work with TID. Am I correct ?

    Hello

    Just for your information :

There are two versions of the leather steering wheel :
One of them is the standart leather wheel for all models except Sport.
The other one is for Sport, and it has perforated leather where your hand grips the wheel at both sides.

You may consider this before you buy a wheel for your car.

    Thank you very much Jens.

Is there an exact name for that "metal plate", in German ?
Or better, a part number maybe ?

It will be very difficult for me to tell my dealer about this part, without knowing its exact name, what it looks like etc..

    Hello again,

Three days and no response yet :(

Should I assume that there's no solution to the problem or nobody here care to help, to write a word or two about it ? Or is it just something to do with the language ? ?(

    Hello everybody,

I understand that this thread is about the friction noises coming from the front brakes.

My Corsa has those nasty noises since the first day. The sound is always there everytime I depress the brake pedal, it doesn't matter the brake discs are wet or dry.

My German is limited so I might be missing some important information here about how to fix it, if there was a fix of course.

A private Opel service owner (and a technician himself) friend of mine listened to the noises and concluded that the noises are normal but the noise insulation around the wheelarches and in front of the dash is very weak. He also noticed that there is too much tyre noise, and this only strengthens his conclusion about the weakness of sound-insulation.

Last week I went to my authorized Opel dealer to fit the cruise control system. I also told a technician there about brake noise issue. We didn't have the time to go for a test drive for him to listen to the noises, but anyway he told me that they got the same complaint from other Corsa drivers and investigated it. He told me that they found the noises are due to the hydraulic pressure, not to the friction, and they were coming from the master brake cylinder, not from the discs. He said that this is normal and there's nothing they can do about it, if we are to trust what they say.

These are two different conclusions about a problem, and I'm sure there would be more different ones if I ask for some other technicians' advices.

Now I wonder if there's a permanent solution to the brake noise problem after all the discussions here on this thread.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Ist der Insigma eigentlich der Nachfolger vom Vectra ?(
Oder ist der Insigma der angesprochene "Kapitän"?

"Insignia" (not Insigma) will replace Vectra.

Opel thinks it should have a new name because they claim it will be a very advanced and a "completely different" car.

    Hello everybody,

A couple of weeks ago I asked my Opel dealer/service whether it is possible to install the appropriate column stalk (left arm for turn signals) for cruise control and activate it.

They told me to bring the car in, so they would be able to check my car, to see if the required preparation work was already done at the factory.

Today I went there, they checked the car and luckily my car was ready for the cruise control... :]

They simply replaced the left column stalk and activated the system using Tech2 in just 30 minutes.

It's not that I'm going to use the CC frequently, but I like having these electronic toys in my car :D

    Best regards,
    Serdar
